Write A Good Blog

There are two reasons for writing a good blog. First, good writing is a positive force in the universe as are well made images. Secondly, search engines reward relevant content – a game that must be played to rank up in the organic search results. (The only other option is to buy advertising on the search engines, but I’ve always been a boot strapper.)

A Shop Window Is Like Still Photography

Have you ever been drawn to stop for a moment by the display in a shop window? Here is a shop window I’ve used in my greeting card work. It’s from Joy’s Market on Main Street, Saint Chuck. A shop window is like still photography in that it captures a single moment in time. A good blog captures one moment in time. What I love about both is the challenge of creating an image or paragraph that causes people to pause and look through the window.

Newly Wed Couple

Imagine if you can, the writing behind this window…

And yes, I will photograph a wedding… for certain people.

My Own Wedding

If you are curios, and enjoy a good story, I’ve posted slides and video from Mike and Patty’s wedding here.
